Having qualified as an accountant in 1983, Gary was the founding partner of Milner & Co, a general practice providing a full range of accountant and tax services. During his time with the practice, he developed his skills to include corporate finance and corporate recovery and restructuring.
Following the merger into Milner Boardman, Gary expanded his skills becoming a qualified Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2000.
In 2003 he finally severed his links with the general practice to take up Corporate Recovery work on a full time basis.
Gary is responsible for dealing with the initial meetings with directors and their advisors, devising an agreed strategy and making the necessary presentation to all relevant stakeholders.
A former Captain of Mere Golf & Country Club, in his spare time he will usually be found on a golf course or following his beloved Manchester City. A child of the 60’s, he grew up in a family of wool traders. Consequently, he considers himself one the only Insolvency Practitioner who can knit! Email: garyc@milnerboardman.co.uk
